The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.
The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
